Our owner, Kevin Dorsey, is a retired Sergeant of the Ypsilanti Police Department. He served admirably for 25 years as a sworn Law Enforcement Officer, which included service to the Detroit Police Department as well as Eastern Michigan University Public Safety. Since his retirement in 2012, he has been committed to learning and gaining experience in various facets of the security industry.
Working as a Security Manager for MotorCity Casino, Hotel & Convention Center and Operations Manager for one of the largest security firms in the world has allowed Kevin to cultivate his leadership skills. He is currently assigned to international recording artist KEM as a trusted Executive Protection Agent and has been since 2012. Kevin is also a member in good standing with the Wayne County Sheriffs Department as a Special Deputy.
Dorsey Protection Services, LLC was established in late 2019 at the urging of several members of the business community, his family, colleagues and friends.
